Luca Ben Herrmann
Luca Ben Herrmann completed his bachelor’s studies in 2022 and his master’s studies in 2024 in Physics at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. During his master’s studies, he focused on experimental quantum physics, first during a research project in the Trapped Ion Quantum Information group at ETH Zurich and then during an internship at Alice & Bob, where he worked on the characterization and control of superconducting cat qubits. Finally, Herrmann performed his master’s thesis in the Hybrid Quantum Systems group at ETH Zurich, where he measured and simulated high-frequency transmons for a quantum transduction experiment. In November 2024 Herrmann joined the Quantum Computation group at the QRC as an Associate Researcher, where he will be working on the characterization and calibration of superconducting quantum devices.
