After the postponement of the UComms conference (currently scheduled to be held September 2021), we have been working to set up a webinar.
Thanks to CMRE, the NATO ACT, the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society and the speakers that very generously agreed to take part in this event, we can now announce the first UComms webinar, to happen between the 1st and 4th of December 2020. The webinar is free and open to all.
This is not a replacement of the conference but rather an opportunity to come together and discuss the topics that are dear to us.
Swarm intelligence is the discipline that deals with the study of self-organizing processes both in nature and in artificial systems. Researchers in ethology and animal behavior have proposed a number of models to explain interesting aspects of collective behaviors such as movement coordination, shape-formation or decision making. Recently, algorithms and methods inspired by these models have been proposed to solve difficult problems in many domains.
R2T2 2021 will be the first seminar organised by the Autonomous Robotics Research Centre of Technology Innovation Institute to foster discussion on the latest research in the field of robotics.
Leading speakers from across the globe will discuss frontline research and disruptive technologies in the field, addressing a diverse range of topics, including control and perception, communication, bio-robotics, swarm and evolutionary robotics.

The 1st IEEE International Workshop on Communication and Networking for Swarms Robotics is organized in conjunction with IEEE CCNC 2021 – IEEE Consumer Communications & Networking Conference.
