Prof. Vincent Creuze

Autonomous Robotics Research Center

Vincent Creuze is a professor at the University of Montpellier (France) and the head of the « Marine Robotics » team of the Montpellier Laboratory of Computer Science, Robotics and Microelectronics (LIRMM). His research focuses on marine robotics, mainly applied to archaeology and marine biology. During ten years, he collaborated with the French Ministry of Culture's Department of Underwater Archaeological Research (DRASSM), for which he has developed several specialized robots and tools, integrating novel methods in the fields of design, control, manipulation and sensing (vision, acoustics, etc.) He also collaborates with the Stanford Robotics Laboratory since 2014. Every year, he contributes to numerous underwater operations at sea.
