When data travels over our networks, we rely on cryptographic tools to ensure the integrity and security of our communications. While most modern cryptography relies on mathematical complexity to provide these guarantees, this approach can be vulnerable to unexpected computational advances, such as the development of quantum computing.
The network in front of you is different. A collaboration between ADGM and TII, this pilot demonstration uses encryption keys generated by quantum entanglement to provide next-generation durability guarantees. With security based on fundamental laws of physics, this system is capable of maintaining security even in the face of unbounded computational power.

By integrating this quantum key material into modern network hardware, we are able to realize a quantum-protected private network connecting nodes at Hub71 and ADGM Academy (an IPsec operating at 10 gigabits/s). The network can support use cases such as:
