Dr. Ilia Luchnikov

Dr. Ilia Luchnikov holds a BSc and a MSc in applied physics and mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Russia, and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the same university. He spent 2 years as a leading researcher at the Russian Quantum Center and one year as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Geneva working on applications of tensor networks, optimization, machine learning techniques to classical simulation and control of open and many-body quantum systems. Now his main focus is on the development of classical algorithms for industrial problems based on techniques borrowed from quantum and statistical mechanics.
